Dr. Alex Larsen, from Provo Utah, had a good practice. In his conservative and frugal neighborhood, he was making enough money to live comfortably. Things were going fine. He was relatively happy with his practice. He had worked hard and spent a ton of money getting his clinical skills leading edge. He enjoyed learning new techniques to increase the quality of dentistry that he provided for his patients.

BUT, . . . He knew there was something missing.

Things just didn’t seem quite right in the practice. There were some very subtle signs that concerned him.

  • Anyone so void of grit and backbone that they'll let others (staff, spouse, accountant, banker, etc.) talk them out of attending. Especially since the dinner and seminar is free. If this has been the ‘logic’ and decision-making method you have followed in the past, no wonder you’re not as rich and happy as you’d like. You’re asking advice from the wrong people! Frankly, if you allow the dream stealers to get to you that easily, I doubt I can help you much. I'd suggest you quit letting unsuccessful people tell you how to get rich. Sorry to be so blunt and brutal but, you see, I make dentists Rich & Happy! That affords me the luxury of deciding who I work with and, if you fit any of the categories above, it's simply not a match.

Which brings me to one of my all time favorite success stories…

Dr. Kelly LeBlanc from Houston, is a dentist just like you. He was doing OK. Had a good practice. Patients liked him. Paying his bills. Using a consultant. Not too much to complain about. Went to a lot of C.E. Bought the usual “stuff”. But, his practice wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire. He had hired a consultant who promised success. After working with them he discovered that using their systems only made him busy, not profitable and his already too high overhead grew even more. His schedule was crammed and he was too busy doing mostly one-tooth-at-a-time dentistry. Didn’t have enough time off to do the things he enjoyed. He had tried several things before but with only moderate success. Again, he had a good practice. There was nothing really broken. He had conceded that because his practice had been like that for a long time, he would have to “tough it out” because there was not much he could do. After all, he had tried other dental consultants before with the same disappointing results.

I sent him an invitation to come to my seminar. Even though he’d seen my invitations before and had thrown them in the trash without doing anything (just like you may have done in the past), he decided to give it a shot. He reluctantly cancelled some scheduled appointments to come to the seminar. “Maybe there’s something new”, he told himself. “I know my case acceptance could be better.”

Here’s what happened.

(And yes, coming to the seminar wasn’t convenient.)

He immediately noticed that this seminar was different. I showed him something new to gain greater case acceptance with his patients. Something he had been looking for, but didn’t know where to find it.

Only a small number of doctors were in attendance. “That’s good”, he thought. More individualized attention. (We run our seminars like you should run your practices—less is more.) At the seminar, we instantly gave him a raise— $108,000/year (that’s $9,000/month!) of net (not gross) income in his pocket to take home to “mama”, by lowering his overhead from 70% to 55%. Then we helped him triple his collections. Yes, I said triple!!

And he had a great practice to begin with. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you how much he collects each month with just 3 team members. You’d say, “No way! That’s impossible!” Let’s just say he exceeded my recommendation of $25,000 - $45,000 production/month/ employee.

(By the way, if you are below these numbers, you have serious systems problems that are killing profits.)

His former consultants and trade journal authors wouldn’t believe it either, but it’s true. He’s got the bank statements to prove it. For privacy’s sake, I won’t reveal the exact number, but it is astounding. Additionally, he takes at least 6 weeks of vacation each year, has several growing investments and is truly enjoying dentistry and life. Plus, his team bonused $36,000 last year . . . each! That’s on top of their regular salaries! Plus, they get 6 weeks of paid vacation just like their doctor.

However, you don’t even have to believe me. Read what Kelly has said!
